FAITH - COMMUNITY- SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

COVID-19 Updates & FAQ's

How can I worship?

Online worship is available every Sunday at 9:30am. Watch HERE.  In-person worship has resumed.

Is the church building open?

While the "Church" is never closed, our physical building is not open for in-person ministries and worship until further notice. The most recent order from the Michigan Department of Heath and Human Services restricts in-person gatherings.

How long will this last?

As so much is uncertain, and to allow for flexibility, these changes are in effect until further notice. Watch for emails, letters, phone calls, Facebook posts from CLC leadership in addition to monitoring this page on our website.

How can I help?

Talk to people. Encourage, calm, and pray for each other, our medical communities, and all victims everywhere—especially those who do not have access to good health care and sanitary conditions.

Update your contact information by calling (586.731.1113) or emailing the church office HERE .

If you know someone who is not able to easily stay connected through emails, Facebook, and our website, please feel free to take it upon yourself to keep them informed, or let us know how best we can keep them connected by calling the church office.

How will we communicate?

Watch for emails, letters, phone calls, Facebook posts from CLC leadership in addition to monitoring this page on our website. If you are not on our email list, subscribe HERE

What will happen when we return?

  • Communion will be served by individual portions (no dipping into a common chalice) by extra careful altar guild ministers and communion servers.
  • Hand sanitizer will be made even more readily available throughout the worship space.
  • Offering will be collected at a fixed station as you enter the worship space instead of passing plates among people.
  • The liturgical practices of Sharing the Peace, holding hands during the Lord’s Prayer, and the greeting line after worship will be accomplished without physical contact, acknowledging each other with grace-filled eyes, smiles and words.

If you or a family member becomes ill with flu-like symptoms or is confirmed to have COVID-19, please let our Church Office know so that we can best serve and spiritually care for you while you and/or your family are sick and recovering. As always, we want to walk alongside of you in practical and tangible ways, pastoral care and support, prayer, and spiritual guidance. Feel welcome to reach out to our Church Office or Pastor Luther with your concerns.

And remember, God is always, and in all ways, present and God loves you very much!
