Join us in CLC's worship space to watch together the film "Hidden Figures". Refreshments will be available and we'll have some discussion afterwards. "Hidden Figures" (PG) is a 2016 American biographical drama film directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Melfi and Allison Schroeder. It is loosely based on the 2016 non-fiction book of the same name by Margot Lee Shetterly about three female African American mathematicians who worked at NASA during the Space Race.

Join us in CLC's Fellowship Hall as we share in a potluck meal and conversation while we learn more about events that played a significant, yet less recognizable role in the history of African Americans. The program will feature presenters and audio/video components. You're welcome to bring a dish to share.

Join us for a visit to this famous Detroit museum to become emersed in the African American experience and grow in understanding and appreciation for this part of our history. Founded in 1965, The Wright museum holds the world's largest permanent collection of African American culture. With a collection of more than 35,000 artifacts, The Wright's current 125,000-square-foot museum opened as the largest museum in the world dedicated to African American history.
