The Lutheran concept of the priesthood of all believers means that we understand the mission of the church to be the responsibility of all the baptized. All the children of God are given the privilege and responsibility to participate in worship. While our worship services are led and facilitated by Pastor Krister Ulmanis, lay persons are always involved as worship assistants.
These worship assistants are members of the congregation who serve through reading scripture and prayer and assisting with communion. Participation in these roles is open to all. We take these duties seriously and realize that the role is more than just a mere reading, the Worship Assistant presents an oral proclamation of God’s Word to God’s people.
If you are interested is becoming a Worship Assistant please contact the Church Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can call (586) 731-1113.
