Board of Evangelism

As followers of Christ, we are all traveling a journey of faith. As members of the Board of
Evangelism, our journey leads us to share our faith with others, thus “promoting discipleship.” This simply means that we want others to know Christ's loving presence in their daily lives and to learn to follow Him as well. We hope to accomplish this through our many activities and events.

  • Twice a year, our board holds a reception to welcome new members into our church.  Each new member or member family is given a sponsor to welcome and guide them as they find their place within the congregation and to assist them in becoming an active part of our church family.
  • Visitors are welcomed with gift bags containing valuable information about our church. We encourage them to return by sending follow-up cards.
  • Our board sponsors Friendship Sunday, as an opportunity for our church family to invite friends to our worship services. We greet them with a special reception following the services.
  • In the 2009 Sterling Heights Memorial Day parade, we entered a float to help introduce our church to the local community.
  • We will continue planning future events, always seeking to convey Christ's love and care, thus helping us grow in our faith as well.
  • The Board of Evangelism meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. We welcome anyone who would like to participate in any of our activities.
