In June of 2015 a leadership team was assembled to develop a plan for a fund raising drive to address the near future needs of our CLC facility. Our immediate needs include:
At the Annual Congregational Meeting held on Sunday, February 7th, the congregation approved a proposal to initiate a three year fund raising campaign in the amount of $250,000 to address these needs of our facility as well as other needs in our church.
Volunteer recruitment and management is one of those needs. The 2020 Campaign will provide for ‘bridge funding’ for a part time Coordinator of Volunteer Ministries. Currently there are multiple ministry efforts in our congregation which are suffering because empty volunteer positions are not being filled by willing volunteers. This person will focus on connecting the passions and abilities of our members with volunteer opportunities in the congregation and in the community. With one person focusing on this coordination, existing staff members will have more time and energy to create new ministries and improve existing programs. This will be a 25 hours-per-week staff position, which will be funded through the general budget in 2018.
Other projects which the 2020 Campaign initiative will address are: tree trimming, restroom floor upgrades, kitchen ventilation updates, interior painting, parking lot sealing, internet and network upgrades, and the maintenance and repair of 15 air conditioner units in various locations. All of these projects need to be completed outside of our present yearly budgets.
Christ Lutheran Church's Endowment Fund Committee has also inititated an incentive for your giving. The Endowment Fund will match up to $210,000 of paid contributions to the “2020 Campaign” with a 1 to 5 basis (20%) to a maximum of $42,000. This is a great way to make your pledge go further.
As a concerned and supporting member of Christ Lutheran Church, we ask for your support of our 2020 Campaign “Focusing on the Future.” Please make a generous pledge contribution to help us achieve this goal set at $250,000. You can download a pledge card below and turn it in to the Offering Plate on Sunday or you can mail it to the Church Office. You can also make an online donation to the Campaign 2020 Fund right now by clicking the button below.
If you have further questions, would like to discuss the 2020 Campaign further or are interested in any of these project teams, please see any member of the Campaign Leadership team: Bob Hughes, Bob Jenkins, Dan Palmer, Tom Schwartz, Randy Walainis or Pastor Bart Beebe. We thank you for your support!
